Transunion
Lost or Deleted Consumer reports

Transunion has updated their systems, so they claim, and in the process have lost or deleted many consumer reports. I have spent at least 6 months correcting erroneous information in my report and now subscribe to a monitoring service through Truecredit, a subsidiary of Transunion.

I was alerted May 3rd of a change to my report. I checked and saw that it was a correction to experian, but when I updated my report, I found that all of my accounts were missing from Transunion. Numerous calls were made and since my preferred language is english I
had a hard time understanding the broken english of the reps. They were far from helpful replying "Check back in 24 hours".

Today I spoke to a manager, Ry was his name. He informed me that their system was experiencing problems since it was updated last week and that it affected numerous customers and there was no estimate of repair.

Now since Transunion is a major player in most credit decisions, who is effected? Is the information recoverable? Is there evidence of wrong doing? They do however deny this. Who has an application for credit being considered, which will be denied due to lack of credit history?
Better check now and hound them until it is fixed.
