Fraud! Ripoff! Fraud!

I received a letter and a check from Harborside for $4990.00. I immediately was on guard, as I work for a large bank.

When I got to work I called a friend who is a branch manager and she told me that so many people are being scammed by these companies. My bank does not allow the checks to be deposited.

These checks appear to clear at first and then you withdrawl the funds and send them to the scammer and then the check bounces, leaving you holding the bag and being responsible for the overdraft.

Please be very careful and know this. If it is too good to be true it probably is.
