Debt collection for no phone

I got a collection notice From AFNI Inc. Saying I had a debt for $469.83 in unpaid Verizon bill. I have never had a land line phone in michigan under my name. The only phone I had in my name was an Alltel wireless. I think this is a big scam. I tried to call them with nothing but being on hold for 30 minutes.
