American Credit Educators LLC ripoff victimized many consumers fraud

A young American Credit Educators sales representative called me on September 09,1999 to offer me a credit card. The rep didn't tell me much about the conditions of accepting their credit card except that I could cancel it at any time with no cost or obligation.

Less than two weeks following, I received a package from them; I called them and this time I talked to someone that was more knowledgeable after asking for a supervisor. They explained that there was a fee of $300.00 for the program and a monthly fee too. I had no interest in the program and told them I wanted to cancel everything. They told me I didn't have to return the package and that they recorded my cancellation; I did however return the package to them by giving it back to UPS as refused. I never herd from them again.

I recently received copies of my credit report and saw derogatory information from American Credit Educators. I disputed it and they won't release me from this obligation as they told me they would on the phone. I believe they are taking advantage of me; it should be permitted. I was not informed as to what the program entailed or the consequences.
