Countrywide Mortage ruined our credit and lied

We tried to refi with them in order to get a lower apr. We were told thet if we were refused, we would receive the appraisal fee back. We didnt. A week and a half before our payment was due, we were told that we did not have to make a payment because we would be closing. Three and a half weeks later, we were told that we were denied. That was only after wer did not receive a response to any of our calls, and we were alredy late on our payment. We then asked for help with the mtg payment, and were wre told yes. Then we were told no.
This has caused our credit score to fall from the high 700 to 440-500. We cant even get another company to touch us now, because they have placed a 60 and 30 day late payment mark on our credit.

Countrywide has now sent us a letter stating that we owe late fees and if they do not get them, our next payment will be placed in an account for future and presant late fees, and not twords our regular monthly payment.
We hav placed a complaint with the federal trade commission, and if this doesnt work, we will be finding a class action law suit against them. (if we can find one to join)
