Mortage Broker refinacing ripoff

Please be very aware about a con artist by the name of Laurence (Larry) Burke from Nationwide Lending Group. He operates mainly in the bronx and queens offering refiancing with a 1% interest rate. He told my mother and I, that he had a program specifically catered to people who were retired or getting ready to retire. Fixed for 3 years and there was to be a cap of 5.25% after that.

Well the loan i received has a 8% interest rate with a cap of 10.25%. The rate adjusts every 1st of the month starting 1/1/07. We had the closing on 11/16/06. I am absolutely furious that he totally lied and misrepresented himself. The closing cost fees were also outrageous.

I am doing everything I can to stop this man, and informing other people about him. From this website, to the attorney general, bronx D. A, and BBB. Always have a lawyer present when you go to a closing and if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
