Ripoff! Don't send any money!

I feel so stupid and embarrassed, but I don't want this happening to anyone else! Applied online for a debt consolidation loan through lowlender.com in September. Received telephone message stating I had been approved for a collateral secured loan for $7000 from Greentree Capital Group. I needed to send in 3 months of payments ($310.01 each month) as security for the loan, totaling $930.03. I have the documents (Promissory Note) they sent to my via fax dated 9/22/06 and signed by a Harold D. Hall CEO, which I signed and returned. I went to my local Walmart to send the $914.16 to Alberta, Canada to a Ashley Winters on 9/28/06, reference #86165081. The $7000. Was to be deposited to my bank account the following day.

I received a phone call that afternoon stating that the lender pulled my credit report once more before funding and found that my credit was worthy of the collateral I had sent, so I needed to send 3 months more secured collateral totalling another $900 or I could cancel the loan request and ask for a refund. I asked for the refund and they stated that the lender would send in 30 days, on 10/18/06, since it would take that time to process the loan for decline and return the papers for a refund. I did not receive my refund and I can no longer contact them through the 800-727-0742 number that was working when I first applied and conversed with them. The individuals that I spoke to were named James Franklin, which I saved the original message he left me on cell phone stating I was approved. Their fax number they are using is 617-848-3783 - where I faxed my documents and another fax # listed on their fax cover page is 469-385-6922. The email address listed on their cover page is greentreecapital.org
