NCO Financial Systems
Received collection letter from NCO for America Online 10/2/06 for $95.60. I closed my account with American Online a couple of years ago. I don't owe them anything

Business & Finance

On Oct 2nd- I received a notice from NCO Financial Systems Inc, stating that I owed America Online $95.60. I did have an account with them in and maybe 2002. I closed it because of bad service from that ISP provider. The customer service rep tried to keep me from cancelling my service, of course, but I put my foot down and insisted they close the account. Of course some weeks or months later, they sent me a letter about the closed account and still tried to get me to reconsider.

That was a few years ago or more. Keep in mind, ISP providers usually charge you for services thru the credit card, not paper bills. So I know this is a fraud. I decided to check if this had happened to anyone else. It did, and I found out by looking this problem up on usacomplaints.com and someone else just put their report in, so, this company or companies must have just started doing this recently. The media needs to know about this.
