Ripoff on commissions bad leads poor communication no support

Insurance agents considering working for this company should be very careful. The commissions you will receive will be lower than others; their lead system is HORRIBLE; they do not return phone calls or answer emails; you will be deceived about your contracts; and there is a basic lack of management support.
I worked with this company for about three months. I quickly learned I was being paid less than others doing the very same work for other agencies. I cut my losses and bailed, went to work with another company and doubled my commission rate for doing the same thing.
Their so called lead system, which they tell you is great, is terrible. First YOU are required to pay for the leads. Appointment setters make appointments with people on welfare, Federal and State retirees, people who retired from companies with great benefit packages, and people who even tell them they do not want an appointment. If an appointment is useless you play H*L trying to get your money back.
Phone calls and emails to the company are for the most part ignored. They do not tell you up front that it will be nearly impossible to get releases from contracts, and management support, especially their so called national sales directors, does not exist. All the sales directors want to do is recruit bodies.
This company is trying to take over the insurance world. With them it's quantity over quality. They say a word to the wise is sufficient. Hopefully this will keep others from getting burnt.
