Scammers ripoff

I received a call from this company due to an inquiry I made online at Lending Tree.com
Although I was already dealing with another respondent, their represenative Eddie Matthews was absolutely positive that his company could provide a better deal for me once I had told him of my situation.

I had already paid for an appraisal with the prior company now I was being asked to do another their appraiser would be able to squeeze every penny of value from the property and that if the loan did not close I would be refunded my appraisal fees.
The appraiser came in with a figure that was higher than the previous one and everything was proceeding merrily along.

I had asked for the good faith estimate several times during the run up to the proposed closing date to no avail. Never received any documentation from them which should have included my FICO scores after they pulled my credit.

Finally the closing date came and went with only more excuses that the bank was reviewing my loan then finally reducing the value on the property and then when all was said and done their proposal was that my new payments would actually be higher that my current payments. It was at this point that Eddie would no longer talk to me so I was now dealing with the unit manager Brendon who bluntly told me that there was no way that I could get back my appraisal fees as promised and that all he could offer were his apologies.

Unto today some 3 weeks after the fact, I have not heard anything more from Ascella (sorry another agent contacted me yesterday 9/18/06 to offer the services of Ascella) with regards to any of the documentation I should have received from them which is I believe mandated by Federal law.
