My 24 year old son applied for a loan with First Union Financial over the internet at a friends house. He was contacted right away and was told he had been aproved for a $6000.00 loan but they need him to wire $600.00 as collateral and processing for the loan. He wired it Western Union that day. The next day he recieved a phone call from the saying that they needed an additional $800.00 from him since they were using an account that was off shore for his loan and they had additional fees. He wired that Western Union also. Now almost a week later he still has not received his money. When he called them to inquire about his money the man told him that the power had gone out from a thunder storm and they could not access his account on the computer and to call back later. Since then they have not answered the phone and he has only got an answering machine a couple of times.
