Bestworkforyou.com, String Art / Dean Lattimer Work From Home Scam

Struggling to make ends meet on a fixed income imagine our delight whwen we saw an ad in a local free paper saying you could make up to $500 a week working from home.

We immediately called the number and were advised we would be sent a'book' containing companies looking for homeworkers. All the companines had allegedly been thoroughly vetted 'bestworkforyou.com'. We were required to pay $46 for the book. After much debate we decided to go with it and ordered the book.
In due course the book arrived and it was. As stated cover to covewr with companies supposedly looking for homeworkers.

We decided on a company called "String Art', as this seemed to offer the highest turnover. We contacted them and they requested $20 for the start up kit. The start up kit arrived in the form of an e-mail from a character calling himself Dean Lattimer, it consisted of approx 20 pages of very complex instructions on how to assemble the required 'string art'. It also gave a list of required materials.

We set to with a will, going first to a well known household supplies store for the timber we needed. Alsofor the thousands of tacks that were required.
We then trried to track down the thread needed to complete the pictures we would be producing!
The instructions called fro 'Cro-Sheen' thread in five different colors. It stated in the instructions that Walmart would have it. So went to Walmart, then Joannes fabrics, then we called K-mart. Then we went through just about every fabric and ccraft shop in the phone book. Yes Walmart did use to stock the stuff. 16 YEARS AGO!

So we e-mailed Dean Lattimer, requesting an alternative to use... No answer. We sent another e-mail saying we werent very happy could he please hurry with the information we requested... NO ANSWER
ANd another... NO ANSWER
The next one was promise of legal action and reporting to the better business bureau... Heres the reply we got..:-

So just be aware, oh i did think of paying Mr Dean LAttimer a visit, but the only address you ever get is a PO BOX.
