Cross Country bank ripoff will not return money owed to me but have reported me as having bad credit

Had purchases on my bill i did not purchase. Wrote about and got letter back saying i still had to pay. I then sent back my credit card with letter explaining why. And to cancel the card. They never would correct the mistake and keept sending bills. I paid them off all except 1.00 [mistake in addition] they billed me for that a long toime.
I finally wrote a check foe 3.00 to them. Which they chashed. They wont send me back my over payment but have reported me to the credit reporting agency as not having paid and now that is the only thing i have against my otherwise excellent credit rating.
