Ripoff raised credit card interest rate with no notice for no reason!

Wachovia bank raised the interest rates on my credit card with no notice and for no reason. Rates were raised from 13.74% to 22.74%.
Upon calling the credit card Dept. I was harrassed by a Supervisor named Erica Dawson. She stated we had sent a letter to them to close our account which was not true, we simply stated in a letter if rates on card are going to change close the account.
Rates on the card remained at 13.74% and the account never closed, this went on for 6 months. Then I used the card and all of a sudden rates changed to 22.74%. Erica Dawson lied and said she had our letter on file which I asked her to read to me, then she all of a sudden said she just had excerpts of the letter. I had a copy of our letter in front of me. Erica Dawson even said that her records said that Wachovia was not sure if customer wanted to close account! She then said they tried to contact me at my home and my wifes work, that is a lie, I have an answering machine and my wife has a secretary to take calls. All in all I was treated like a piece of trash by Erica Dawson and Wachovia, Dawson could'nt even give me a reason as to why my rates were increased! Do you believe that! She kept changing her excuses and even said rates were increased because we did not pay enough over the minimum payment. Dawson even said we have a lot of bills! So what we pay them all on time always, we have never been late to anyone and we have a fico score well over 700. My call ended with Erica Dawson not doing anything to make it right and she lied and was rude the whole time she spoke to us BRAVO WACHOVIA, great customer service, let's see if they dispute this one with consumer complaints. I'll bet they don't!
