Ripoff credit card scam illegal bank charges

During routine check of checking account transactions online, noticed $159.00 charge described as pre-paid credit card. Contacted number listed next to it and spoke to a linda. Asked what this was, told prepaid credit card, and when I asked who applied was told my wife. Confronted my wife who nothing about this, I told them I wanted it removed and did not authorize payment from my personal account, and was told to file police report and fax them info. While reading their disclaimer noticed Patriot Act listed and said they required proof of identity to authorize card. When confronted with this, they said supervisor would have to handle this. Talked to supervisor, requested copy of information and application used to obtain card and they re-emphasised needing police report. Checked BBB, found company named ACH Direct in Arizona with same phone number and no response to claims made, could not contact by phone (disconnected) and mail undeliverable.

Suspect my personal info was obtained somehow thru my computer during online bill payments or such and used to open fake account. Suggest filing report with experian to flag credit and social security to flag ssn to deter future concerns.in the mean time I am taking editors suggestion and going to bank to dispute charges, and filing Federal Regulation E. We have always used spyware blocker and ad-aware and every security measure possible, but they slipped thru somehow. Need class action suit to stop this business!!!
