Household Bank. Possible ripoff & the run around. New Castle

I got the letter in the mail today saying that I was pre-approved for 2,500 so I called to get more info. Of course the employee gave me all the right answers. I told her at that time I didnt want the money. A few hours later I called back and spoke with employee and then accepted loan amount.

She took all info and informed me that I would hear form them in 5 days. So something told me (minutes to late) to log on and see about organization. Sure enough I saw all of the complaints so I immediately called back to the same number asking to cancel my application and loan.

The employee said that she couldnt do itand that I wwould need to call customer service. She gave me the numebr and of course it was not the correct number it was tech support.

I called back and informed them of the mistake and ended up talking to someone who said they were the maanger. She said that they just work for Household and that they sent the application to customer service. I asked for the correct number and she said that the (wrong) number was the only number that they had for customer service. So, I took notes onall comversations but I sont think that they were giving me their correct names and numbers.

I then called the second number that they came up with and it was closed. If i dont cash the check will i still be considered an open account? I really dont need the drama but I can already tell that I willbe getting the run around. What should I do, Is there a way that I cna just send that same check back adn close the account? I need some help... Life is going to good to be letting this thing mess me up!
