CCA Financial Credit Services - First National Card
Moronic behaviour, complete ripoff, credit card scam

Business & Finance

I was very surprised to recieve a letter containing a credit card last week, because of my status in the USA. As a British Citizen, I am engaged to be married but not officially legal to live and work in the USA yet. So recieving a credit card from a company here baffled me. To hear that they wanted to give me $6500 in credit made me even more curious as to what exactly they were talking about.

I called the activation number and sadly activated my card. I finally spoke to a human being instead of a robot, and told them that I really wasn't interested. The guy continued to tell me all of the bonuses to having a First National Card, they would even up my credit limit to $8500! I wasn't buying it. I actually spent 45 minutes on the phone to the guy, and he was very friendly and curtious.infact at one point we stoppped talking about the card and it got rather personal, him even offering me a trip to Las Vegas to meet him!

I kindly declined and informed him I had a fiancee and the matter of me not wanting a card from them still stood. He continued to give a speech on how it would be good for me to establish my credit. It was when he asked for my SSN it got interesting.

When I told him I didn't have one, he sounded shocked but said it wasn't a problem. He would "make one up". So I'm guessing he did! I even went as far as to tell him that I am an illegal immgrant from England living and working in the USA illegally! Would he still want to give me $8500 credit? He said he had never been in this type of situation before and would need 2 minutes to talk to his superviser.

When he returned he told me that this wasn't a problem. I couldn't believe that he was still not telling me that my circumstances would deter them giving me credit. (Although none of this is true, it usually makes the cold callers hang up asap!) So I took it further, and told him that I had my bank account in a fake name and techinically I could take the credit, buy everything I wanted and then disappear under the radar...

He laughed and said why not!

This is when I knew for sure it was a scam. No website, poor sales, and thousands of usacomplaints.com. Don't be fooled. Like someone before me once said "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is".

This really did amuse me greatly though!
