Ripoff justifies why they have the right to harass their customers

I have an auto loan through Compass Bank since 2002. Compass Bank gives a ten day grace period for loan payments. Because of my paydays there have been times when I have had to make the payments during the grace period.

My complaint is that they will call and harass you even after your payment has been made. I have tolerated this for over 3 1/2 years and am completely frustrated!

However, this past week was just the straw that broke the camels back! I made my payment via the phone on Friday afternoon. I made the payment by calling the customer service number and asked the gentleman to please note my account that I made my payment to avoid my mother, as well as myself, putting up with those annoying phone calls! Well, guess what? They called all weekend! Soometimes 4 to 5 times in less than a 3 hour timeframe. I even had a confirmation number! They called all through the day on Monday and I had finally had it so I asked to speak to a manager.By this time I was extremely irate and irratated that eventhough the payment had already cleared my account they were still calling! According to the manager, they have the right to call until midnight of the day the payment is processed. Her justification was that it was "in the contract" She even went as far as to say that because she was the collections department and not customer service that she did not have to listen to my concerns or frustrations. She tried to brag that Compass Bank is the 28th largest bank in the world, like I care. For such a large business why does their customer service suck! She also stated that she was going to notate my account that I was so upset, which only made me more irate.

Needless to say, my advice is to NEVER get an auto loan or account with Compass Bank!!! They harass their customers even when you are current and in good standing!
