Beyond fitness rip-off! Horrible customer service! Should be sued!

Affiliated Acceptance Corporation is literally the worst company I have ever (and will ever, G-d willing) deal with. As a law student I REALLY should have seen this coming in the non existent fine print of their pathetic, un-customer friendly contract.

I signed with Affiliated Acceptance Corporation so I could have a personal trainer at the Beyond Fitness Gym in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. After I stopped going to the gym, I was continuously billed. I called Affiliated Acceptance Corp. And their hours of operation do not "agree" with my work schedule so I thought, 'fine, I'll leave a message.'

Yeah right... You CAN'T leave a message for them. They have NO voice mail. I did manage to get a hold of someone eventually, and she told me I had to send a certified letter to cancel my membership. What kind of crap is that? I then proceeded to cancel my gym membership in an attempt to egg things on a bit. That didn't work either... They continued billing me.
Fine, I thought... I'll dispute the charge. I disputed the charge and that didn't work either.

I even cancelled my American Express that they were billing... And of course, that didn't work.

I FINALLY was able to take a day off of work so I could get a certified letter from the post office to cancel my subscription and call these bastards. I waited in the post office for 30 minutes, got my certified letter and called Affiliated Acceptance to inform them that I would be sending them the cancellation that they requested. When I called them, they told me that I didn't NEED a certified letter.
I just about flipped my lid because they had just told me that I DID need a certified letter and if I could have just sent a normal letter (not certified) I would have been done with all this a long time ago. They were EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional and to this day, I swear I actually wonder whether they are even a real company or just some fraudulent teenagers in mommy's and daddy's basement.

Long story short... The letter didn't work... NONE of my letters worked until I sent them one stating that I was talking with my lawyers about filing a lawsuit on them for not adhering to my requests.

People - if you happen to find yourself in my situation with this company (which hopefully, eventually, they'll be shut down) threaten them with a lawsuit... I don't care if you don't even have lawyers... Threaten deceitful, bastardized, thieving companies such as this one with the only thing they care about (their money) and they will listen!!!
