Jason Henry Davis
Pulls "promissory note" scams on elderly investers in Gwinnett County

Business & Finance

Jason Henry Davis (of 2002 Sugarstone Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043) has successfully scammed my mother out of over $100,000! He used the ever-popular "note" scam to steal her entire nest egg. He is no doubt using it to pay for his $350,000 house, or his leased black convertible 2005 BMW 645CIC. Or maybe his daily golf games. My mother, on the other hand, will soon be selling her car for emergency cash, at which point, we (her children) will begin to provide her transportation for her.

She has been forced into a state of financial devastation by this criminal. As a result, she is about to forclose on her home... The house she bought with the hopes of living in independently and without burden to her family, for the remainder of her life.instead, she will likely live in a basement in-law suite.

Here's how it works. She got a perfectly legal and binding promissory note, he got her money.in classic form, he initially made payments based on the agreement. This is merely an investment he made to defend against the possible future fraud charges. But after a few months, the payments stopped.

And for over eight months since then, he has made no payment at all. Despite numerous emotional pleas and finally threatening letters from her attorney, the cold-hearted bastard has fed my mother (and her attorney) nothing but excuses and lies, and elaborate and ludicrous schemes to pay her back. All of this is, of course a big smoke screen to delay due process as long as possible.

As the scam goes, the only path to recovery is civil action. If she chooses this path, she will, of course, eventually win the judgement. But she will have spent tens of thousands of dollars (and years of heartbreak, depression and frustration) getting there. At the end of this hard road, her reward will be... You guessed it, zippo, zilch, zero. Because he will then file bankruptcy and start all over with the next victim. This horrifying reality is what keeps victims from pursuing anything at all!

Criminal action is another possible route (one we intend to pursue), but unfortunately it will not get any of her money back. It will be nice to see him squirm before a judge, trying to explain that his actions do not constitute fraud!

We have spoken to the office of the Secretary of State (the Securities and Business Practice Division). But they are not interested in pursuing individual cases. They are already way too overwhelmed with large-scale scam cases involving many individuals. So, we'll have to wait until more victims surface.

What's crazy is, his parents are reportedly fabulously wealthy! Why he would break my family this way is beyond me. God awaits you, Jason. Wish I could be there when you receive your final judgement (no appeals allowed).

So beware the "Note Scam" and more specifically avoid any relationship at all with Jason Henry Davis.
