Capital Choice Consumer Credit
Ripoff Scam including Premium Mega Saver and Hartford Auto Club consumer fraud ripoff ripoff swindlers

Business & Finance

I sent in $39.00 for a credit card from Capital Choice Consumer Credit. I still HAVE NOT received my credit card from them after 4 weeks. This "Charge Card" company called a few weeks back and insisted that I would be enrolled in a trial membership for long distance minutes (Premium Mega Saver) and also an auto club membership (Hartford Auto Club). I told them that I did not want these memberships, I just wanted the credit card that I put $39.00 down for. Today, I found out that these "Companies" are fraudulent. They do not have websites, nor do they have a customer service phone number that IS NOT a recording or it is constantly busy. They did not cash my check in the normal matter either. They did, however, do an electronic debit from my checking account (These scammers want their money right away, so they can leave the country when the heat gets turned up on them!). The electronic debit on my bank statement reveals a phone number (1-888-797-8137), but when I called this number, a message says that the number has been changed to 1-800-276-3079. This number is always busy too! By calling the first number 1-888-797-8137, you get a message saying that they are "Premium Mega Saver". HMMM, why does the debit for the credit card fee have a phone number that is for the long distance minutes company? I now know why! This is an intricate scam network out to screw the consumer! I did manage to get through to Premium Mega Saver and they said that they would cancel my membership. However, I now do not trust that they will! Now, for the Hartford Auto Club, I tried calling the 1-866-888-9157 number to cancel and several things happened. Firstly, the number is usually busy. Secondly, if you do manage to get through, they tell you that their computers are down and to call back another time. I have called several times and when I managed to get through, they always say that their computers are down. Thirdly, they ask you to write cancel on your form and mail/fax it to them. I do not trust that they will in fact cancel my membership. Each of these so-called companies will charge monthly fees for services that were never wanted in the first place. I have three suggestions for all of you that have been scammed by the "Evil-Doers" from Florida. First, go to your bank and close your checking account and open another one to prevent any future debits. Second, report them to the BBB in your area. Third, report them to your States' Attorney General. Hopefully, the proper authorities can NAB these Evil-Doers before they leave the country. I'm sure camp X-RAY in CUBA can make room for these infidels! I'm sure that the Marines down there will give them the same treatment as they do the Taliban and Al Queda prisoners!!! Good Luck and lets GET 'EM! TomMyrtle Beach, South Carolina
