My loan is assumed in a lease purchase. The current loan is with Countrywide. The lawyer found that the house payment amount, interest amount that Countrywide is taking with each payment and amount being charged back to me was higher than the interest rate on my loan.

They lost two payments. I had to pay them again and Countrywide charges me late charges and enters late on my credit reports. I have never been late on any house payment. To add to these deceptive practices, my Florida home ends up with a 200 foot sinkhole.

I have lost over $150,000.00 equity in the home. I had to sell it under a lease purchase deal to a discount buyer for the amount owed to Countrywide.

I was told Countrywide would finance another home for me so I would not have to go through searching another lender. I find a new home, The day before closing, Countrywide rejects my loan saying I no longer qualify since I still have a mortgage on the other home... The day before closing I am told this.

Now my family and I have no home at all. I have contacted the Office of Thrift Supervision, a regulation commission, department of the United States Gov. Of loan and finance companies for real estate.

A complete audit of Countrywide records will be investigated on all loans as a rsult of this problem on the interest payments not matching up with the interest rate on my loan. I was not provided sufficient notice on the rejection of the loan for my new home, this causing my family and I complete and total loss and yes, we do have punitive damages.

You can also call the Office of Thrift Supervision. There are four regional offices. They are busy but they get the job done. Especially when deceptive practices in real esate transactions the main complaint. And this is one of those deals.
