Info that may help - I am a former member of C.A.R.S. (Certified Asset Recovery Specialist) in simple terms, "the Repo-man." the certification requires knowing and abiding by the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and knowledge in Skip Tracing.

These Yahoo's are a total joke! Just to toy with them I called one day and turned the tables a bit with Me hassassing them some. Make note of this number they hand out 866-529-1899, this is what they call a 'trap line' it will give them the number you are calling from even if you *67 first. So don't use it! Contact them instead at 716-650-6240 blocking your number first. They aparently have no skip trace skills because when they called ME back after hanging up on ME, they still did not know who I was.

Reading many of the message board complaints I do agree - they are very unproffesional. With in minutes I had them (Steve, Bob & Ray) yelling profanities, calling me white trash and even going as far as to taunt me more by saying that they "gave it to my wife and mother last night" - which again if they had ANY proper skip skills they would know that I am not even married.

They like to make you feel like dirt - god knows everyone has a financial set back or 2 in a life time. Nobody is perfect! In fact, during my repossession years "debt collectors" are just as guilty as the rest of us. I have drug many of cars out of parking lots and across the streets from debt collector themselves.

So just send these yahoo's a certified letter requesting "Cease and Desist" and recording the calls yourself would also be a strategic idea. Good-luck
