My Citifinancial acct. Is now in "Loss Mitigation" (collections)
I had Disability Ins. On my loan through Citi, (which they sold me) I became disabled 11. My disability ins. Paid my acct, however, LATE several times. Citi, reported to all 3 credit agencies for the lates. Not realizing my ins. Benefits ran out 11 and NOT receiving anything from Citi, I presumed my ins. Was still paying my acct. Until I received a call from "Collectios" my acct. Was 90 days past due, "What was my intention?" explaining the situation to collections, obviously, no-one wanting to take fault for my credit report (scores) dropping, I was given several telephone numbers to call. None, of course, able to help. My request was simply to submit a letter to the 3 credit repositories explaining, "not my fault for the lates" and have them removed. Citifinancial says they "can't" do that, collections says, they "can't" do that and of course when I contacted the Disability Ins.Co. To request just a letter stating they infact were responsilbe for the payments being sent to Citi late, their answer was, "Our computer is not formatted to do that". Needless to say, my credit scores have dropped and no-one wants to assist me with a simple letter of explanation, not to mention, I have been forced into collections. I do not recommend Citfinancial as a lender. I would appreciate any input as this story has more to it...
