Collecting for debt for a PA based Doctor Ripoff

My parents are in their mid 70's and they received a collection letter from NCO requesting payment of $173.00 for their Creditor STAT Physicians, PA., hello my parents live in TX and all if any of their medical bills are sent to them from a company based in TX.

My dad called NCO to discuss the collection letter and they requested his S.S. #, but then said that the debt was for my mother and then requested her S.S. #. Thank God my father picked up on her wanting their S.S.# and refused to give them to her, my dad asked her for the Doctor or Hospital name that this debt is pertaining to and the lady refused to give it to him and said that they will accept a small fee until the debt is paid. My dad kept insisting that she give him the names and the lady yelled at him and then hung up.

I have been trying to contact them and they are closed (We are both on Central Time) anyway, I decided to investigate this company on the net and found this interesting and informative Rip off Report on NCO and decided to register and file a report. Speaking on behalf of my parents I feel that this company should have charges brought up against them, because my parents are barely making it with what little they get from S.S. And then to have some company like NCO trying to rip off them off is very low.

At least my parents have their children that will help them investigage any collection notices, but just imagine all the other Elderly people that have no access to computers or no children to help them.

I ask you, to please stop NCO Financial Systems, Inc. From trying to rip off anyone who receives their bogus collection letters.
