Ripoff misleading phone conversation refuse to refund money

A close friend of mine sent Discover the payment for my bill $137.00, but the checked bounced so he sent them a money order for the ammount to their payment office in Wilmington, DE but it never got there. Then Discover called me up on 12/23/and I made arrangements for them to deduct the ammount owed from my account for the amount I owed. Then I told my friend who's on the account with me about what was happening and he sent them another payment for 135.00 and they got that payment about the last week of December 05. I then called Discover and told them I wanted to delay the automatic payment til Jan. 6th.

I was under the impression they would only take what they was owed for the month, and when I was listening to the options on the automated phone menu it said my minimum payment was like 98.00. I'm not sure of the exact ammount but it wasnt no $232.00. So today I went to my bank account and saw they deducted $232.00 so I called Discover and asked if they would return all the extra money they took out except the ammount they needed for the minimum ammount and they refused to, so tommorow I am going to my credit union and file a form to try to get that money they took out. I'll be more than happy to pay the 90 something difference I owe but $232.00 is too much for some one on my income. My friend and I are trying to pay back the money his girl friend ran up on the card and if I find another company to transfer my money to and pay lower payments I will take all the money thats on my Discover Card and transfer it to some other company.
