Ripoff Used fake American names and shady recordings to rip me off

I see that this is a common problem. When I got the "$12,500" grant phone call, I almost believed it was legitimate at first.By the end of the call I realized that it was a con. The problem is that they had led me through a confusing series of recordings, which is probably how they can fake the authorization to take from the account.

I proceeded to mess with them, and never gave them any information that one would need for online transactions. When the "Government Agency" asked for a check number, I did not give it to them. I do not know how these people are able to make withdrawals with an account number and a routing number, but apparently they can.

When I got the call from "My Bank" (same Indian Accents) I was pretty amused at their bravery/stupidity. I proceeded to give them the run around in a series of long phone calls where I teased them, but never gave them any more information. I spoke to several "Employees" of my bank here in Columbus and ended up having my mother insulted, my sister defamed (I don't have a sister, but it was still pretty mean), and they ended up losing their temper and calling my a Mother F*cker more than once.

I thought they had given up; that is until I see that a check for, that's right, 299.95 appears taken from my account. I called my bank and I can get the money back, but what's to stop these people from taking more from me and others?

This needs to be seriously investigated and closed down. I really believe that authorities need to be notified. Reading this site, I realize that they have conned a lot of people.

Warn everybody about this scam. Tell your friends and loved ones to never trust phone calls asking for any type of information. Never trust calls like this. I thought they couldn't have possibly taken cash from me with what they knew, but I guess they can. Protect yourselves!
