Ripoff! Same story, never received a card and was charged $178 to my new PLATINUM CARD

Like most of us I too, was a victim of these scumbags. I've been away for about a year and when I came home, my father tells me that he has been making the payments for my FPB card. I had never made a card with them. So I call them to dispute the matter. I refused to pay and told them that I would like an investigation done.

Today 12/5/05 I received a letter from them stating that I would not be held responsible for the fees. I called to find out what had happened. They refused to tell me.
They just said "no".

Now my credit is down in the 600's because of them. Who in their right mind would sign up for a credit card with a $250 limit and they take out $178 for what ever bogus reasons. What should i do? Or what can I do? Don't I have the right to know what lead up to all of this? This is complete B.S.

Shouldn't I get a copy of the investigation? Even if they were to refund the money the damage is already done. I have a section in my credit report stating that something was sent over to collections. Do you think it would be a bad idea to to go to different law firm web pages and direct them to this site? Any input would be helpful.
