Dishonest and deceptive - possibly a scam beware

Business & Finance

I joined TheNextInternetMillionaire.com back in Sept (before that as a free affiliate). So far they have come up empty in their claims on their website. Worse still they have not been responsive lately either by email or phone.

They have responded to some of my emails but repeatedly it is "any day now". It has now been several months and I have not received ANYTHING from this company - no signups either paid or free - they promise 2500 free signups and from that an average of 25 paid signups in 90 days because of their autoresponder follow ups. Also, no leads or leads discs (except the old leads you get as a free affiate), no autoresponders, no bonus franchises. The back office is very sparse.

I felt like I was the only one until I read a few people already who posted on this site with similiar experiences. I hate to believe it but it appears that this seemingly once honest company is now a scam. I spoke to Brian Nutt on several occassions back in the summer and he appeared honest and a man who keeps his word. However, the follow thru on the leads, signups and responsiveness shows either neglect, dishonesty and/or greed.

Several things concern me too which make me really believe that this is a scam. First, the back office contact list now has NO phone numbers or emails for your downline - they were there before - first the emails disappeared and now the phone numbers! How am I supposed to contact my free affiliates to convince them to upgrade as was once suggested for marketing...

Meaning they don't want us contacting others and finding out the TRUTH!

The other item that concerned me is that the site was down for a couple of weeks late Oct/early Nov. When the domain came back up all of the affiliate pages got replaced by the company pages - with their Egold and Qchex links - meaning if any affiliates were promoting their sites the company probably captured some sales that way. It was like that for about a week after I wrote the company support email, and they finally restored the affiliate pages.

Finally, the last item is this - I tried to signup under my own affiliate site using a pseudonym as a free afiliate to see what would happen. Well, my other email address became flooded with "You just lost $2000 Joe Blow just signed up... UPGRADE NOW!"

Each of those affiliates and messages again have no contact info so there is no way to verify. They could be just be empty shills to get us to sucker in some more victims.

Anyway I was hoping that this would actually work and I really don't want to believe it is a scam but they more I look the more it appears. Either that, or the company has crushed under its own success and can't deliver anymore. It's too bad as they have a great business concept. But something must be done as I am sure a lot of people scrapped or borrowed the $2499/2999 and feel they are being shafted big time. This should be reported to the Florida, California and your own state AG's office, and the FTC too.
