BBT Branch Bank And Trust
Told I only signed collateral, now a co-applicant on loan

My husband acquired a large loan with BBT. He had no collateral, so I was asked to put up my home, which was appraised at only $19000.00. He was given a loan for around 80,000.00. I was told upon signing that I was signing over only collateral.

My husband's job folded and he defaulted on the loan. They acquired my home and now they tell me I owe the over amount. It seems that I signed as a co-applicant. It was a bald-faced lie from Mr. Long and associates about just signing over collateral.

My God, I didn't even have an income. I had never even worked a job that would allow me to make 800.00 a month. It was just a lie. Now my credit is bad, I get harassing phone calls, and I have judgments against me.
