Free Credit Report With A Catch

I ordered a credit report online from a company called "Consumer Info.com". They sent me a email verification and a password in the mail. After I got my report, more than a month later I noticed that $69.95 was missing from my checking account. I called the bank they told me it went to Consumer Info Corporation. I called the company. They said it was a monitoring fee to monitor my credit.

I told them I didn't need them to monitor my credit. They said that it didn't start til 30 days after I got the credit report and I could have canceled it during those 30 days. I had no clue what she was talking about.

Then she asked if I ordered my report on the internet, I said yes after being on hold for 10 minutes. She came back and informed me that the $69.95 would be refunded to my account. I was pleased when the 14th of April the money was back in my account until April 17th when I noticed that $69.95 was on hold in my account as a credit card purchase.

The bank manager informed me that the charge was going to a company called "MWI Communications". Once I told her I had never heard of them, she went back through my transactions and realized that MWI Communications and Consumer Info.com were that same company.

They gave me my refund and tried to take the money back out under a different name. So beware because of them I have to cancel my card and wait for a new one. They're web address is www.comsumerinfo.com. They address is
