Only $50 of $1,282 Payment Applied to Loan, Refinancing Elsewhere

Yes, yes, they are a ripoff. My original mortgage company sold my loan to Citifinancial, and I just found out that only $50.00 of the $1282.00 was going toward my loan. It may be my fault for not paying attention. I just assumed they were like my old company. Wrong! I'm refinancing with a new company, and Citi continues to harass me. They say, "You can't be refinancing with your credit." Well, my credit was fine until them. My bill is due on the 19th, and they start calling the week before. They are very nasty, with no rapport with people. They said that if we paid well for a year, they could lower the percentage. That didn't happen; they said when the time came they couldn't do it. They degraded me on the phone to the point that I was going to seriously commit suicide. Oh, those thoughts...

People have bad credit because of one mistake that follows you for years. No forgiveness, no understanding. If our percentage wasn't over 9%, the bank would make money and we'd get our credit back. I can't believe people aren't burning their houses down... Don't do that... The percentage rate they had us in was 13.9. What the heck??? I hope I win the lottery big and start my own company for people like me and my husband: hard working, honest, hit a rough spot, decent people...

Good luck to anyone still in their grasp. Contact every bank and every mortgage company and tell them your story... Believe it or not, a hometown bank with people you know will help. Swallow your pride and breathe easy... If someone can help us with everything we have been dealt, anyone can get out... Do it!!!
