Ripoff cheated employees and screwed the customers even more Western United States California

I made a serious mistake in opening a "team member" account with Wells Fargo. Since the beginning, I have been charged fees that customers aren't charged, in spite of the fact that it's supposed to be a free checking account. I'd rather pay the $10 a month than have them nickel and dime me to death.

Ordinarily, overdraft protection from the attached savings account doesn't even work if there's not enough money in it to cover the entire overdraft amount in the checking account.

The rules seem to be different if it's an employee checking account however. Just so they can charge me the $7.50 every time. They deliberately hold deposited checks from other banks (they can find out almost right away if the check is good) because they are familiar with my checking activity and they know I most likely have checks still coming in.

Before this latest check clears, they will hit me with about $300 worth of overdraft fees. Also, when I first set up the account, they deliberately spelled my name wrong. I spelled it out on the application in big, block letters so they couldn't possibly mess it up. I couldn't use my checks or debit card because the name was wrong. Delay upon delay.

About a month later when I was facing eviction and the repossession of my car, I finally got new checks and a new debit card. Wells Fargo has an extremely horrible attitude toward the employees.

You can tell up if you dial employee services or Human Resources. If you don't want to key in an option - like every other telephone system on planet earth - they'll hang up on you. They can't be decent enough to transfer you to an agent. And they do it for the same reason they do everything else to the employees; because they can get away with it because you're an employee and you can't say anything out of fear of losing your job.
