PFS Primerica
Financial Services Citigroup Tried to talk me into making 300k a year instead of 180k ROFL

Business & Finance

I got a call from a guy named Adan Saldana when I was in traffic and he starts spouting off about how somebody gave him my business card and I couldn't hear what he was saying. I told him to call me back in an hour when I was in my office. Naturally like clockwork, I get the followup call and he introduces himself as working for PFS and "You may have heard of the Citigroup family" etc. Sales pitch like the other stories on this 'board.

However, this guy was pretty tricky about saying my "friend" gave him my business card. I ask what kind of business is it, a call center or what, because I wasn't sure if he was trying to sell me something or if it was a lead for my company as I own a long distance carrier (obviously not interested in a career change). He kept going on about how its an opportunity to make money etc. I am like, I own my business and I salary myself at $180k a year so why would I want to work for somebody else? I can not believe at this point he started telling me that I could make 300k a year instead if I walked away from my business. I told him I thought my customers would be a little pissed off if I just shut down my data center, fired everybody and came to work for PFS which I never heard of before (he never mentioned Primerica).

Then, I asked him who gave him my card and he says somebody I barely know and threw a foreigner's name out there and said I probably met him at a mixer or some kind of company event. Well, I'm sure my sales people visit those but I barely have the time to go out and socialize with the sleazeballs in this town (Las Vegas).

He kept going on about how I should join PFS and I don't need any experience etc. I am like, Look, There is no way in hell I am going to change careers right now especially when I already have plenty of experience doing something most people wish they could do and offered to take his name and number to give to those who I turn down for jobs. After I got off the phone and digested all of this information I realized he was probably just calling random people out of the phone book and figured it was some kind of scam and sure enough found PFS listed on this site with all the other scams.

I think it would be fun to rig up a hidden camera and mic, and go into some of these places to publish their bull on the web. Why dosen't any of the media cover this sort of stuff. These guys have been around forever.

Beware of PFS, they might start calling the Forbes 500 and talking everybody from Bill Gates, Sam Walton's kids and on down to leave their corporations and come work for PFS selling... Crap. Wait, they already do that. I guess they have plenty of experience.
