Rude, verbally abusive employees, ripoff

I was contacted this afternoon by "Jeremy" from Allied Interstate, in reguards to a back Qwuest telephone bill that I admit that I owe.

I tried to explain my situation to them. Right now, I am on state assistance while my fiance and I are both attending school to get off assistance and get good jobs.

I told Jeremy this, and he started in with verbal belittlement such as "Well, if you weren't sitting on your ass, on welfare, taking my tax dollars, you would be able to pay your bills"

I am not just sitting on my ass as he put it, I have an 18 month old baby and between school and motherhood, I can't work because I cannot afford daycare.

I reported him to a supervisor, and she promptly called me back and was still trying to collect money. She was at least polite and explained everything to me in a decent manner. I am still not able to pay them, and I know the harrasment is going to continue.

I am just tired of being belittled on the phone because I am low income and I cannot fork out 200 dollars in one shot. If anyone goes ahead with a class action suit for harassment, count me in.
