Ripoff on credit card solicitation

I received a call offering me a $2500 credit limit credit card. This card was to have an introductory rate of 0% and then go to no higher than 3.9%. This card had a start-up fee of $249. And no annual fee thereafter.

I asked several times if this was a secured card, or a line of credit to only use on their over-priced website. I was assured that this would be a Master Card to be used anywhere.

I recently went through the long, drawn-out process of obtaining disability. I thought this card could help me in returning to a some what normal life.

I think it is terrible that this company is allowed to operate while cheating disabled persons as well as the many others who are just trying to make a legal living in these times.
