Grant offering may be a ripoff. They offer $5,000 non repayable grants for $249 but ask for bank account number. Nationwide

I sent this report by email. I inquired about possible grants for helping me to build my house. I received calls from a business that offered to grant me $5,000. The speakers had foreign accents so it was not easy to understand them.

To receive the grant they demanded that I give them all the numbers on my check, the account and routing. They said that they would need to deduct $249 on June 6 from my account and that they would send me within two weeks all the paperwork for the grant.

Do you have any knowledge of this company, business or service, whatever it is. The phone number they gave me is 1-866-454-4564.
If this is legitimate, people need to know about it and if not, we need to be warned. Sorry that I do not have names except the last woman who talked identified herself as Margaret and said my confirmation number is 402974.

They also offered another $500 bonus and tried to get me to sign up with some phone service which they said was optional. I refused that. Thank you.
