Ripoff Is there a law about how long they can take to update your credit report

This is the respone I got when I contacted Ocwen about them reporting my account wrong to the credit agencies and on their own website.

Response: Our records indicate that an Ocwen representative has contacted you and addressed your issue regarding the updating of the credit report on our website. We anticipate your concerns have been addressed and request you to kindly allow sufficient time for the report to be updated on our website.

When they contacted me all they said was that they are aware of the problem and they will correct it. They are showing my account 90 days past due since 8/04. My account is current and has been current for 6 months. What can I do to force them to report my credit correctly? How can I demand proof that they have sent the correct information to the credit reporting agencies? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
