Ripoff

I got this phone number from Cox Communications Directory Assistance today, April 28. This company failed to credit my account for returned items and continuously added trumped up finance charges. As a result, all payments did not reduce the bill. I tried paying the $733 in full to its collection agency, but it was returned to my bank electronically in 2003. After contacting it in writing in explaining this and asking for a re-payment installment plan, I never heard anything from them. Nevertheless, this company continues to report to the credit reporting agencies that I am delinquent AND it reports it twice - Once as Fingerhut and Once as Jefferson Capital Systems. So, my FICO score is suffering and I can't get this resolved. Will try again and will post an update.
