I just received my bank statement and noticed that my debit card was charged $79.95 for credit monitoring service that I never ordered.
The funny part is it looks like the same company that pulled the same type of scam by signing me up for a "drug discount" card last year. (I am a doctor. Do you think I need a drug discount card or would sign up for one? Give me a break). It took over eight weeks of me and my bank going back and forth attempting to get this reversed. I NEVER signed up for ANY credit monitoring service with ANY company.
The ironic part of all of this is that I have a fraud alert on all of my national credit bureau files because I just finally got my business bank account straightened out after identity theft! I did not charge this amount nor did I authorize a charge.
