American Recovery Systems, ARS breaking collection laws, their employment revolving door affects your rights? Indiana City

Gentleman working for company collecting on credit cards that I owed on called me at work to ask about account stauses after I specifically asked them not to call me at work. He told me that since the account had changed hands in the company (due to employee turnover at the company), he had no record of that request.

Also during another of many employee turnovers at the company, I spoke to one lady who set my collection system up, asking her if I could raise and lower my amount of payment that was deducted from a checking account. She assured me that it was a yes, and that all I had to do was call if I needed it. After her employment expired, the next employee had no information about this agreement, and I could not lower a monthly payment that I needed to lower due to tight bills that month.

Thidly, I was offered to settle a bill that I had with the company when I owed only a few hundred dollars on it, with out being told that a settlement would show up negatively on my credit report. I was set to do this, when I called the company to do so, another (new) emplyoee asked why I would be doing this. She explained the potential problem with settleing, and I am alost done paying it all off. Consequentially, I have not heard from that lady again.
