MyPerfectCredit Inc
Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

Business & Finance

Last year I signed up for access to NetDetective which offered a service by ClearCredit to view/dispute credit issues. I never signed up for this additional service and was never bothered by ClearCredit.

On Feb. 16 2005 I got an email from MyPerfectCredit, which I discarded, and which started like this:

"We are very pleased to announce that MyPerfectCredit (MPC) has acquired your ClearCredit membership! We offer more advanced services as well as many great credit report based services that were not offered by ClearCredit."

They ask me to login to their website with a predifined number as username and as password I should provide the last four digits of my social security number. Which, clearly, I didn't do and disposed of this email as spam.

Then, on Feb. 23 2005 my credit card got billed USD 9.95 by MyPerfectCredit Inc. Probably the same card with which I paid access to NetDetective the year before.

I have never enrolled in any credit monitoring service, since I check my credit card accounts regularly on the web.

On the consumer complaints website I saw that other people have a similar problem - if not exactly the same.

As soon as I discovered the charge (March 21), I called my credit card company to dispute the charge.

Now, I am waiting for a response. Good luck to you all.
