Mail order credit card fraud. False percent rate, false fees ripoff

January Chase Manhatten Bank gives me an offer to come back to them by opening a Chase Platinum credit card account with 0% interest till April on purchses and card transfers, with NO anual fee. They used to be my bank, but committed so much banking fraud I left them for a better bank. Since they were offering to consolidate my cards at 0% for a little over a year, and with a baby due in a few months which as I write this is approx 3 weeks, I figured it was a great idea to give them a second chance and see how it goes.

It went horribly. Not at first, they halfway combined my cards, and first month wasn't charged any interest. March however, I received a little suprise. I noticed a mistake, or so I thought, of interest being charged. I called them. First they said I was right, it was a mistake, let me send this to upper management for them to fix and put me on hold. Thereafter it went to "We're sorry, we approved you for the card, but not the rates that were advertised, you should have gotten or will get a new rate scedule. As a courtesy we'll reimburse for this month only the interest, thereafter it will be the 21.99% rate. At that point I hung up on them and wrote.By the way, soon as I get the application scanned in, Ill try to update this with a photo of it.

The email I got back was even more disturbing. Not only are they not going to give me the 0% till April they're not even going to charge me the 7.99% thereafter as in contract. The No anual fee is now anual fee, and absolutely everything offered in the contract I signed, is totaly bogus and this ban thinks they can get away with this. Far as I know, if a card is offered via application/contract if they don't want to give it to you, they decline it and offer you another type, not bait you and switch the product which mail or in person bait and switching is illigal.

I made a post on my own website and also updated all the search engines to make it easy for it to pop up when people use Chase to to warn them about this bank. Only reason they have a fairly decent rating with the BBB is if someone does take the time to complain, they fix it to get a good record. Sort of like hurting an animal, then when the pound comes to investigate, they behave.
