Ripoff unfair and deceptive business practices

Stay away from this company. They made an attractive offer for us to consolidate our credit cards into a fixed rate 7.99% line of credit. We should have read the fine print however since after a year with an excellent payment record they quietly slipped the rate up to 19%.

They also will also whack you with $40-$50 fees if you are late on a payment or whenever you draw money on your credit-line using the counter-checks they are always sending you. I also distrust their on-line statements since they whacked me with a huge fee for overdrawing my balance one time when I had checked it the evening before and the funds were supposedly available. I'm looking for alternate credit sources know to transfer my balances out ASAP from this highly disreputable company.
