Ripoff interest rates and hold dates

If you for some unfortunate reason have a payment check or online payment dishonored for a secured credit card by the bank (my daughters card) you are subject to a tremendous number of fees, i.E. Return check charge, late charge, over limit charge which can add up to $90.00 at a time in extra fees for the month.

Best of all, if you replace the payment and all the late fees, and a positive balance results, Merrick makes you WAIT 3 WEEKS to access these funds from the time it clears the bank. This is just to hassle you and use your money in the meantime - there is no reason to rip people off by making them wait.

I would recommend that you run away fast from this secured credit card provider. They are nothing but big rip-off specialists.
