Option One Mortgage
Need help with information

Business & Finance

I am a first-time home buyer, and have found the house to buy, and have gotten verbal acceptance on the bid.

The problem is, it's been a month since that date, and I still have no contracts to sign from the mortgage holder of the note.

I have been patient, and understanding for the most part, but I find it hard to believe that I'm being told that a new computer system is being installed, and that all the transactions have to go through this new system, and it doesn't work.

In any business I've worked in, when you do a conversion to a new program, you run both for a while to make sure the new one works, but that the old one is still available should any hiccups arise with the new one.

I'm at the point now, where I have to decide to give up my "dream home" and find something else, or wait longer for this company to get off their butts and let me buy a house from them.

I could have been moved, and enjoying the house, and the bank/mortgage company would have had their money for the house and been able to move on... But I don't understand...

Can anyone help me with this?
