Ripoff - Fraudulent Credit Card Offer - Their offer said the $ 37.initial fee would be reimbursed with the first purchase

I received a Creditcard offer in the mail for $10.000 approved credit limit. They asked for a $ 37 payment which would be reimbursed with the first purchase on that card.
Attention: They also asked for a lot of personal information such as SS #. After a certain time had gone by and I did not receive the card but the check had cleared my account I became suspicious and informed my 'Identity Theft Protection Insurance'. They gave me great advice as to how to prevent and minimize any further damage that could arise from this incident.
