Asset Acceptance Increased My Debts in 30 Minutes! Ripoff

I called Asset Acceptance to inquire about a bill they had reported to the Credit Union. The bill is supposedly older than 8 years and I don't remember the bill at all. It's from a different State.

My decision was to go ahead and pay the amount. When I called back to ask another question, the man I spoke with said in fact I had Three bills there! One was from 20 years ago and it was a company that had gone out of business.in fact it was a bill I had included in a Bankruptcy 10 years before the phone call.

Then they offered me a discount if I could pay over $600 in the next two weeks! They wouldn't send me a statement or put anything in writing to say how much I actually owed or under what terms I should pay.

I'm going to wait until they send me something in writing. They need to prove I owe them money. Or maybe I should just say they owe me money!

If anyone sues them please let me know.in fact I wonder if the FBI is investigating them as I type.
