Charged a $75 "Fee" That More Than Quintupled My Balance

I started out using this card responsibly and made only two small charges: one for a $1.40 vending machine charge, and $16.04 for gasoline. That was a total of $17.44. I was charged a $75.00 "fee," for a total balance of $92.44. Based on other complaints, I may refrain from paying online and instead issue a check, with the returned card cut in half and a note telling them what they can do with their credit card.
