I wrote this letter to montereyy finance parts have been left out to protect my privacy:

Dear Monterey Financial Service,
I am writing in response to your many harassing, rude, and attacking phone calls dated back to 08

The very first phone call I received from your office was from Mr. John keys this telephone call lasted about 20 seconds in which Mr. Keys identified him self as an employee of Monterey Financial. I also identified myself as Betty.

Mr. Keys then proceeded to say and I quote Betty Have you seen your credit Report? You don't pay your bills. You make me sick. I can't even talk to you. You disgust me, you are a debtor. You don't pay anyone moneys you owe them He then hung up on me.

Again I received another phone call from Mr. Keys he started the conversation by saying So you are trying to buy a house. No body will lend you money to buy a house, where do you live now? I told him in a camper trailer. He laughed and said get used to it you will never purchase a house, you make me sick.

I told him to f* off. He said clean up your mouth and pay your bills Again I said F* Off. And I proceeded to ramble as many curse words as I could think of and I hung up on him.

Again I received another phone call from Mr. Keys he started the conversation by saying Betty Have you seen your credit Report? I asked him what he was talking about he then told me he was attempting to collect moneys for a company called Epenzio I told him I had canceled my account with them and that I had never even used their services.

He said It Does not matter I had signed a contract with them, and I was obligated to pay I asked him for a copy of the contract that I signed he refused to send me a copy he said he had sent a copy to my old address

I informed him that I never received anything from them. I asked him again for a copy. He responded to me by saying you are responsible for paying, no I am not going to send you a copy, you have no intention of paying this money you are a debtor, you are a poor excuse for a human being

Again I said F* Off. I am not paying those rip off b* a penny.' And I proceeded to ramble as many curse words as I could think of and I hung up on him.

Again I received another phone call from Mr. Keys he started the conversation by saying How are you doing today Betty? Are you going to pay this money you owe; it's up to $4000.00 dollars now. I said I am not paying anything I want a copy of the contract. He refused. I told him I had canceled my account I never used their service. I hung up on him.

Mr. Keys has called me several times harassing me; attacking me verbally, demeaning me as a person. I informed him that I was going to tape record his telephone calls; he said that's illegal I informed him that I knew it was illegal for him to harass me the way he was.

He said get a lawyer if you don't like it, pay your bills Betty, pay your bills

On one occasion I even asked to speak to his supervisor Cliff Caragon whom I had informed of all of the harassment I had received from Mr. Keys. He was of no help and said Mr. Keys was attempting to collect a debt and was going to call me every day. And hung up on me.

Reason for this Letter:
I do not believe that I owe what you say I owe. I have a copy of my bank statement proving I cancelled my account.

I intend to obtain a lawyer Concerning your abuse towards me

I also intend to contact as many other consumers as I can in regards to your illegal practices of abuse and harassment toward them.

I intend to inform them of their rights concerning Fair Debt Collection Practices

I intend to start a class action law suit against Monterey Financial Service and it's employees

I've heard from you, several times regarding the debt allegedly owed to Epenzio Company therefore, in accordance with Section 809 - Validating Debts of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I respectfully request that you provide me, in writing, the following:

What the money you say I owe is for;

Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe;

Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe;

Identify the original creditor;

Provide a verification or copy of any judgment (if applicable);

Show me that you are licensed in my state, and provide me with your license numbers (if applicable).
Be advised that I am fully aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For instance, I know that:

You cannot add interest or fees accept those allowed by the original contract and state law.

You do not have to respond to this dispute except to tell me that you either intend to cease your collection efforts or to pursue other legal means of collecting this debt.

Should you pursue a judgment without validating this debt, I will inform the judge and your case will be dismissed based on your failure to follow the FDCPA.

Any attempt to collect this debt without validating it, violates the FDCPA. Be advised that I intend to record all phone calls, keep all correspondence and will not hesitate to report violations to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.

I have disputed this debt; therefore, until validated you know your information concerning this debt is inaccurate. Thus, if you have already reported this debt to any credit-reporting agency (CRA) or Credit Bureau (CB) then, you must immediately inform them this debt is in dispute.

Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the FCRA 1681s-2.

If you do NOT own the rights to collect this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor that you say I owe money too so they are also aware of my dispute with this debt.

Finally, in accordance with section 805 (c) - Ceasing Collections, of the Fair Debt Collection Act, do not contact me about this or any other matter, except by official mail and then only to advise me that your debt collection efforts are being terminated or that you are taking specific actions allowed by law.
